Approval of a Minor Change to the BS in Animal Science

Executive Memorandum 13-076 November 19, 2013

From: Paul J. Zingg, President

Subject: Approval of a Minor Change to the BS in Animal Science

Upon the recommendation of the Provost, I approve a minor change to the BS in Animal Science. This change updates the curriculum by slightly rearranging the requirements. The number of Lower-Division Requirement units will change from 33 to 33-34, and the number of Upper-Division Requirement units will decrease from 50 to 26. A section “Animal Science Electives in the Major” will be added to the program. This requirement will be 21 units where 9 units will be selected from a list of both lower and upper-division courses. This section will also incorporate 12 upper-division units that used to fall under the Upper-Division Requirements. The overall units for the major will change from 83 to 80-81. This change will be effective Fall 2014.
