Subject: Approval of the California Mechatronics Center

Upon the recommendation of the Academic Senate and with the concurrence of the Provost, I approve the establishment of the California Mechatronics Center effective immediately. The California Mechatronics Center will be housed within the College of Engineering, Computer Science, and Construction Management. The mission of the center is to:

  • Provide a high-quality undergraduate engineering education with project experiences that build on fundamentals and develop team skills;
  • Provide facilities and equipment that are readily accessible to further this goal; and
  • Formalizes activities that can attract significant projects for students and staff.
