Subject: Approval of Significant Changes and a Name Change to the BS in Health Science
Upon the recommendation of the Academic Senate, with the concurrence of the Provost, and with the approval of the Chancellor’s Office, I approve Significant Changes to the BS in Health Science. The Option in Health Education will be discontinued and the name of the degree will change to the Bachelor of Science in Public Health. These changes will allow the program to maintain accreditation while providing clarity to students as to the focus of the educational goals of the degree program. The CSU degree program code will change from 12011 to 12141, and the paired CIP code will change from 51.0000 to 51.2201. This change will be effective fall 2019.
