Chico State Presidential Search Open Forum

To: Campus Community

From: University Communications

The CSU Board of Trustees and the Chancellor’s Office are preparing the search process for the next President of Chico State and will begin the search in the spring semester.

The Chancellor’s Office has worked closely with our campus to solicit the names of faculty, staff, student, and community representatives to serve on the Advisory Search Committee. That committee works as part of a unified group with the Trustees’ Committee in the search process. We are working with the Chancellor’s Office and the search firm it hired to organize the event that will launch the search—a virtual open forum that will take place on Thursday, February 2, from 12:30–2:30 p.m., hosted by the Chancellor and Presidential Search Committee. During this forum, members from our campus community as well as people from our surrounding communities will be able to share their ideas regarding the preferred qualities and experiences of our next president. This feedback will inform the presidential prospectus and position advertisement and guide the Presidential Search Committee’s review of applicants.

More information on the general CSU process can be found in the Board of Trustees Policy for the Selection of Presidents (PDF). In the coming weeks, additional details regarding Chico State’s Presidential Search will be shared as they become available.
