August 19, 2022- Update on Chief Diversity Officer Search
Dear Campus Community,
The University’s search for a Chief Diversity Officer (CDO) is well underway. We are seeking a visionary and collaborative leader who will provide counsel to the President and Cabinet, and have the opportunity to advance and center equity, diversity, and inclusion efforts across the University. The timeline calls for the established search committee to meet with the consultants in September for a first look at the applicant pool. We plan to bring finalists to campus in October with the goal of naming a new CDO before the end of the year.
I want to remind faculty and staff that there is still an opportunity to apply or nominate a colleague for the position through Isaacson, Miller. You will find the position description on the Executive Job Announcements website. Questions about the search can be directed to Jennifer Meadows, search committee chair, or Lori Miller, who provides support on behalf of the President’s Office.
I look forward to meeting our candidates later this fall and successfully filling this important position for our campus.
Thank you,
Gayle Hutchinson
President
