March 29, 2023 – Jamie Clyde Named Interim Vice President for Business and Finance

Dear Campus Community,

I am pleased to announce that Jamie Clyde has been appointed to the position of Interim Vice President for Business and Finance, effective April 6, 2023.

Jamie has served as executive director of the Associated Students since January 2020 and brings to the Division of Business and Finance a reputation for innovative leadership and fiscal prudence. She has a background in finance, and business and operations, and has proven ability to cultivate relationships and create a positive leadership environment. Prior to assuming the executive director role, Jamie served as associate executive director from July 2015 to January 2020. During her eight years with the Associated Students, the auxiliary has benefited from her operational management of program development, facilities stewardship, strategic planning, budget development and implementation, and monitoring of operating reserves. She also has more than seven years of experience in hotel and restaurant management, and five years as adjunct faculty in hospitality for College of the Redwoods.

Jamie earned bachelor’s degrees in speech communications and education at Chico State and her MBA at Colorado State University.

I am confident that Jamie’s experience and background will enable her to provide steady leadership of the Division of Business and Finance through this time of transition. A search to fill the role will be initiated by the next president of Chico State.

I’d like to thank Vice President Ann Sherman for her four years of service to our campus and wish her well in her new role at University of Colorado, Denver.
