Programs & Services

CADEC is committed to providing educational programs and services to the students, staff, and faculty of Chico State. CADEC has a purpose of preventing substance misuse and to promote awareness and outreach within the community.

CADEC is involved on campus during a number of high-risk drinking days including:

  • Labor Day
  • Halloween
  • Spring Break
  • Cesar Chavez Day

  • Students Seeking Support
    • Students Seeking Support is an open, confidential, non-judgmental forum for students to explore topics related to substance misuse.  SSS meets every Friday, when school is in session, from 3-4pm in SSC 290A. 
  • CADEC is also now offering SMART Recovery, a science-based recovery support group which advocates choice and self-empowerment. This group is held Mondays 5-6 PM in SSC 206.
