Quality Learning and Teaching (QLT)

QLT Training

This QLT course is designed around the QLT evaluation rubric to meet core standards in the QLT instrument through the completion of eight modules with associated deliverables that guide you to fully redesign a course (or design a new course). While focusing on online learning, QLT provides a framework that is applicable to all modes of instruction with topics and deliverables focus on backwards design, student engagement, authentic assessment, inclusion and accessibility, and more. This QLT course is offered as an asynchronous, self-paced course in Canvas, and requires a final course review.

Rubric and Resources

There are three main ways to utilize the QLT rubric and resources:

  1. Self-review: no formal support, but the Academic Technology (ATEC) is available to help!
  2. Local review through a team of certified reviewers.
  3. Formal course review for Exemplary Online Instruction (EOI)(opens in new window) recognition and/or CSU certification(opens in new window).
