QLT Training
Spring 2023
There will be two options to complete the QLT training in Spring 2023.
- Option 1: Complete a series of 5 workshops, offered synchronously
- Option 2: Complete an asynchronous course in Canvas
If you cannot attend the whole series, you are welcome to attend just a few workshops, please register here(opens in new window).
Option 1: Synchronous Online Workshops
All workshops are offered on Tuesday afternoons, 2:00-3:30 p.m., via Zoom.
- Workshop 1: Introduction to QLT, Course and Learner Support (Google Doc)

Tuesday, February 28th, 2:00-3:30 p.m. - Workshop 3: Organization of Course Materials and Resources (Google Doc)

Tuesday, March 7th, 2:00-3:30 p.m. - Workshop 4: Student Engagement (Google Doc)

Tuesday, March 21st, 2:00-3:30 p.m. - Workshop 5: Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (Google Doc)
QLT sections 5 and 8 led by Claudine Franquet and M.E. Matthews.
Tuesday, April 4th, 2:00-3:30 p.m.
Option 2: Asynchronous Canvas Course
QLT will be offered for the first time as an asynchronous course in Canvas. We hope that this option will allow for more flexibility, and can be completed at your own pace (although we ask that the final course review is completed by May 31, 2023). More information and access to the Canvas course will be shared in Spring 2023.
The course includes the following 8 learning modules:
- Module 1: Introduction to QLT & Course Design Goals
- Module 2: Course Overview & Learner Support (QLT sections 1 and 7)
- Module 3: Assessment & Evaluation of Student Learning (QLT section 2)
- Module 4: Course Mapping & Instructional Material Organization (QLT section 3)
- Module 5: Student Interaction & Engagement (QLT sections 4 and 6)
- Module 6: Equity, Diversity & Antiracism (QLT section 5)
- Module 7: Inclusivity & Accessibility (QLT section 8)
- Module 8: Reflections & Course Review
