Bryna Gegg-Mitchell
Bryna grew up in Chico, where she spent her childhood playing in Lindo Channel and gardening with her family. After high school, she moved to Humboldt County, where long walks in the redwood forests sparked her interest in ecology, and working on small organic vegetable farms cultivated a passion for agriculture. She graduated from Cal Poly Humboldt with a B.S. in Environmental Science (ecological restoration emphasis) with a minor in Botany. She returned to the North Valley to work as a botany technician on the Plumas National Forest.
Bryna thinks regenerative agriculture offers real hope for the future because it goes beyond simply minimizing the impacts of environmentally destructive farming practices, instead offering solutions that can actively heal ecosystems and support communities. She’s very excited to be a part of the CRARS team!
In her free time, Bryna likes to hike and camp, garden, botanize, read, play music, cook, and craft.
