Dunbar Mecklin

Grazing Management Technical Assistance Provider
Dunbar attended American University in Washington, DC, earning a B.A. in political science. Strongly influenced by an AmeriCorps service year focused on conservation ranching and wildfire mitigation, he decided to pursue a career focused on sustainable, grazing management. Dunbar has worked on a variety of sustainably-minded, grazing operations including conservation grazing in Northern California and cow-calf in Eastern Montana. Most recently he worked in a with grassfed cattle and sheep operation integrated into an agricultural estate in Scotland. Besides chasing cows, Dunbar enjoys hiking, gardening, and playing chess in his free time.
