Howdy! I'm Alex, a first-generation student hailing from Southern California. I have an insatiable need to purchase succulents at every opportunity I get. Currently, I’m working toward a B.S. in Plant and Soil Science (Land and Resource Management) with a focus in sustainability. I got my start in hydroponics and managed 12 systems for 3 years before jumping to aquaponics on the University Farm in the Fall 2021 semester. Now working with the RAD-lab I’m getting the opportunity to build my repertoire of research methods and learn all there is to know about soil. Outside of school I love hanging out with my family and friends, especially my cat or grabbing a cup of coffee from a new spot in town.
