Sabrina Garden
Sabrina Garden is a Student Research Assistant for Chico State Enterprises driven by a passion for the intersection of soil health, plant science, and water resource management as it applies to regenerative agriculture. Working directly with SATURO equipment and interpreting complex data, she has contributed to the project by creating infographics and educational materials that make scientific findings clear, engaging, and accessible. Her work supports agricultural practices that protect ecosystems while challenging conventional management approaches.
In this role, Sabrina explores how regenerative agriculture can restore natural systems and improve water efficiency across various soil types. This focus aligns closely to her academic path at California State University, Chico, where she is pursuing a B.S. in Plant and Soil Science with an option in Crops and Horticulture, alongside a minor in Environmental Studies. She has been recognized with the College of Agriculture’s Rising Star Award for her dedication to furthering her understanding of the dynamic relationships between plants, soil, water, and the environment.
Sabrina’s current emphasis on water resource management reflects a central part of her long-term vision, which is to support the development of sustainable water strategies that adapt successfully to climate change by preserving healthy ecosystems. Looking ahead, she aims to apply her research into practical and applicable solutions that would support farmers and communities to adopt regenerative practices to conserve water, improve soil health, and build resilient food systems.
