Improve your property’s resiliency through conservation management practices and get a grant to do it—we can help!

The CDFA Healthy Soils Program Incentives Program(opens in new window) provides financial incentives to California growers and ranchers to implement conservation management practices that sequester carbon, reduce atmospheric greenhouse gasses, and improve soil health. 

Don’t miss out! Grants are awarded on a first come, first served basis. Applications are being accepted now!

Applications are accepted through February 25, 2022 or until all funds have been granted, whichever comes first.

Get FREE technical assistance to create an eligible work plan, fill out the application, sample your soil, and succeed with your project. Included support:

  • HSP Planning Workshops
  • Drop-in Cafe hours (coming soon)
  • One-on-one support in-person or via Zoom—by appointment
  • Baseline soil sampling (required for the grant)
  • Assistance using the RePlan and COMET-Planner tools—during Cafe hours or by appointment
  • Networking with other farmers and ranchers
  • Ongoing support to implement your project and fulfill CDFA reporting requirements
  • Computer access to submit your application if needed—by appointment. (COVID-19 requirements on the CSU-Chico campus apply)
