North Valley Food Hub Marketplace
The North Valley Food Hub (NVFH) is an aggregator, distributor, and online marketplace(opens in new window) of locally grown and produced food. The Hub serves as a vehicle to develop sales for enrolled producers through local intermediated market channels (such as institutional and food service buyers). Additionally, the Hub provides critical services to both growers and wholesale buyers that include consolidating transaction costs, creating a one-stop shopping platform for buyers, and a marketplace for growers to post and promote their products. It serves as a centralized facilitator for creating and expanding a regional food market in the northern California for sustainably-grown products.
Growers:
We make it possible for farmers to work together to meet the growing demand for local, sustainable food in the North State. You'll benefit from the marketing, selling, packaging and delivering of your produce. Our marketplace brings fresh, healthy, locally grown food to buyers in a cost-effective manner on a weekly basis.
Growers are also eligible for funding and free technical support for implementing regenerative conservation practices. However, this is not required to participate in the Food Hub. Learn more(opens in new window).
Wholesale Buyers:
Find locally produced food from growers in Northern California including those implementing cutting edge regenerative and sustainable practices. The online marketplace allows you to search by source farm, product category, and price. Billing, ordering, and delivery are simplified and centralized—you get all the variety of local with the ease and convenience of wholesale!
We can also help you better understand the value of supporting regenerative conservation agricultural practices and provide resources to share with consumers.

In early May 2025, the North Valley Food Hub and the North State Food Bank formed a partnership with Farms Together. Farms Together is the California branch of the nationwide Local Food Purchase Assistance Cooperative Agreement Program, which provides funding to purchase local food for feeding programs.
One month later, we've already collaborated with the Community Action Agency to provide over 9,600lbs of top-notch local produce to the North State Food Bank, which was then distributed to families in need in Butte, Colusa, Glenn, Plumas, and Sierra counties. The Food Bank estimates that at least 600 households are served by this program. Local farmers are paid a fair price, providing an important new market in these challenging times.
We're so very proud of the work we're doing—supporting local farms and feeding our neighbors. NVFH staff are eager to expand our network of partner growers, sharing our support more widely and providing greater diversity of produce to those served by the North State Food Bank. If you're interested in participating, please let us know!(opens in new window)
