Farm Manager for Walnut and Prune Orchards in Yuba City

We are a family run business with 50 + years of experience located in the Yuba, Sutter, Merced, and Colusa counties. We are searching for a Farm Manager for walnut and prune orchards in the Yuba City area. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to help regenerate the soil so that the use of chemicals/pesticides are no longer needed. The initial stages of the process have recently started but help is needed to continue to integrate systems of growing that will assist the land and make it healthy. Experience in management and all aspects of agriculture is a must with the ability to think critically and resolve issues.

Experience:

  • Using, maintaining/repairing agriculture equipment
  • Pruning, fertilizing, mowing, irrigating, harvesting
  • Managing farm workers
  • Recording and documenting field data
  • Invoicing and billing
  • Ability to handle various tasks involved in day to day work

Salary is dependent on experience.  Hours vary depending on season. 40-60/week
