Center for Regenerative Agriculture and Resilient Systems

Technical Support for Producers

We provide technical assistance for farmers and ranchers in northern California through a variety of programs that we help administer with other organizations throughout the year. Our current ongoing programs include the Regional Conservation Partnership Program(opens in new window) and the North Valley Food Hub(opens in new window) but we also work with the California Department of Food and Agriculture's Healthy Soils Incentive Grant(opens in new window) program and others for shorter periods of time. Check out the resources on this page and/or contact us via the link below and we'll help assess your situation and help you find the assistance you need.

NEW!!!

The CRARS Grazing Technical Assistance Application is now open for grazing systems. If you are a producer or land manager interested in implementing regenerative and sustainable grazing practices, this is a free resource to help develop a grazing management plan.

A grazing management plan is a holistic plan outlining grazing strategy, stocking rates, rotation schedules, and other key aspects of sustainable and regenerative grazing management. Additionally, having a grazing management plan may improve an application for implementation funding, such as NRCS' EQIP, CDFA's Healthy Soils Program, and other federal and state opportunities.

Producers and land managers who work on rangeland, dryland/tame grass pasture, irrigated pasture, and cropping/orchard systems can apply.

This program is at least partially supported by a Natural Resources Conservation Service Grazing Lands Conservation Initiative grant.

Applications for 2025 are now closed.
