Kelli McCrea

Lecturer

Kelli McCrea has taught in the Department of Recreation, Hospitality, and Parks Management (RHPM) for nearly 10 years cumulatively and has been an educator for over 30 years in RHPM, teacher education, communication, and writing. Kelli is passionate about teaching and providing opportunities for students to learn and grow. Classes she has taught in the RHPM Department include: Principles of Event Management, Special Event Planning and Operation, Customer Service in Recreation Operations, Leisure and Life, Special Problems/Field School, Foundations of Leisure and Recreation, Program Planning, Recreation Therapy and Inclusion, Commercial Recreation and Tourism, Recreation Therapy for Older Adults, Service Learning in Recreation Programming, Leisure Services Promotion, Program Management in Recreation Therapy, and Facilitation Techniques in Recreation Therapy. In addition to teaching, she also serves as the Department Assessment Coordinator, Assistant Accreditation Coordinator, and RHAPS student club advisor. Kelli and her students put on the Department fundraiser - Saveur - in the spring and recruitment events throughout the academic year. Kelli lives in Napa Valley and frequently does events for Blackbird Vineyards on the weekends. When not teaching or doing events she enjoys traveling, entertaining, going to the theater, cooking, reading, and hanging out with her family and yellow Labrador, Maizy.
