Parking Permits
Basic Permit Information
- You must have a paid Chico State permit to park in campus parking lots
- All student parking permits are sold online
- Semester parking permits are digital so there is nothing to pick up or display
- Enforcement for digital permits is done by license plate so make sure you enter your information carefully
- You can only register one vehicle at a time (digital permit system only); if you change vehicles, you must update your vehicle information through your parking permit account - failure to do so could result in receiving a citation
- FS and reserved permits (non-expiring type paid via payroll deduction) are hangtags and must be displayed clearly from rearview mirror or you may be cited
- No overnight parking allowed, with the exception of on-campus housing and University Village residents with paid permits and in approved parking lots
- Parking is extremely limited and the purchase of a permit does not guarantee you a parking location, therefore we encourage alternate forms of transportation

Update Vehicle and License Plate Information
Students and faculty/staff with a general, motorcycle, student R3, on-campus housing (B), or University Village (UV) permit, use this link to update vehicle and license plate information.

Faculty and staff members with FS or reserved permits can update their vehicle information by emailing Suzy Buck(opens in new window).
Faculty Staff Parking Permits
Faculty/Staff (F/S) and Reserved parking permits are non-expiring hangtags that must be displayed from your rearview mirror while parked on campus.
Payment for these permits is made through payroll deduction. Deductions for calendar year permits are taken over 12 months, while deductions for academic year permits are taken over nine months (September through May).
State-side employees can obtain a payroll deduction form in Student Financial Services (Cashiering) Office (SSC Room 230). Associated Students (AS) and Chico State Enterprises (CSE) employees must pick up the form from their respective Human Resources Office and return the completed and signed form to Student Financial Services.
If you wish to cancel your permit and stop payroll deductions, the permit must be returned to Student Financial Services Office (SSC Room 230) by the end of the month. Deductions are taken in arrears, so one final deduction will appear on the paycheck following the return of your permit.
If you are interested in a reserved permit, please email Suzy Buck(opens in new window) in Student Financial Services (Cashiering) Office for more information or to be put on the waiting list.
