  • University Housing

Rent and meal plan charges for on-campus residence halls and University Village post to your student account. You can see University Housing cost overview, meal plans, and payment due dates and learn about campus life at: www.csuchico.edu/housing or call (530) 898-6325.

  • WellCat Student Health Center

As an eligible student, your appointments or medical visits and other basic diagnostic testing are covered when you pay Registration Fees. Other out-of-pocket costs are minimal and discounted, and will post on the student account.
Visit: www.csuchico.edu/healthcenter for Services and FAQ’s.

  • Guest User Access

Students can grant access to online student account information in the Student Center by creating Guest User accounts. In your Student Center, select Student Records > Manage Guests. Enter your designated persons and check the boxes for View What I Owe, View Account Details, and View 1098T.

  • Authorization to Release

If persons other than the student want to call or visit us and discuss the student account, the student must enroll them in Authorization to Release. In the Student Center, select Student Records > Authorization to Release. You will enter your designated persons and create a four-digit access code they must provide to us. Check the box for Student Financial Services.

  • Making Payments

Make a payment online wherever you see a Make A Payment button on our website (black) or in the Student Center (red). Be prepared with the student’s Chico State ID number and birthdate, and the amount you intend to pay.

Payment methods include credit and debit cards MasterCard, Visa, American Express, or Discover; California ScholarShare 529 payments; and bank account e-checks. Credit and debit card and 529-plan payments incur additional service fees; e-check bank payments have no service fee.

For more information, visit Student Accounts and select Payment Methods.

  • Financial Aid

Watch our video on viewing the student account, above, to learn how to view your Pending Financial Aid in your Student Center.

Pending Financial Aid is grants, scholarships, and/or loans that you have Accepted in your Student Center. Pending Financial Aid will disburse to your student account and pay toward charges, but not until after the payment deadline; therefore, we will defer this amount from your outstanding charges for that semester so that you pay just the difference, if any.

If your Pending Financial Aid for the semester is greater than your outstanding charges, we will refund the difference to you to use for expenses. If you are expecting a financial aid refund, we highly recommend you enroll in e-Refund—for direct deposit to your checking or savings account in a bank or credit union. It's faster and safer. Call your banking institution to confirm your correct routing and account numbers. Enroll in your Student Center under Financials > Enroll in e-refund.

If you don't enroll in e-refund, we will mail a check to you. Be sure to keep your addresses up-to-date in your Student Center under Profile > Contact Info. Fall and Spring refund checks are mailed to your “local” address. Allow two weeks to receive your check.

For information on types of aid and applying for aid, visit: www.csuchico.edu/fa.

Contact our Veteran Education Transition Services (VETS) office, online at www.csuchico.edu/va or call (530) 898-5911, for information about the different types of Veteran Education Benefits and instructions on how to use them at Chico State. Please note: to use your benefits for fee payment, your Enrollment Certification Request must be submitted and processed prior to the fee payment deadline.

  • Financial Agreement

Students are required to complete a Financial Agreement prior to enrolling in courses. Completing the agreement establishes that the student understands that they are assuming all financial obligations associated with registering for courses offered by the university. Every semester, an Enrollment Hold will be placed on the student record until the Financial Agreement is completed. Look in your Student Center under Holds.
