What should I expect?

The TB skin test, or Mantoux tuberculin skin test is used for the detection of an infection by M.tuberculosis. A positive TB skin test only tells the provider that the patient has been infected with the TB bacterium. If a person tests positive for TB, other tests are required to determine if a person has a latent TB infection, or TB disease.
