BIO:I'm Katelyn! I am a Junior studying Environmental Science. I aspire to be a Silviculturist. Silviculture is the art and science of controlling the establishment, growth, composition, health, and quality of forests and woodlands to meet the diverse needs and values of landowners and society on a sustainable basis. This passion stemmed from experiencing dangerous California wildfires firsthand in my hometown of Paradise. I saw how poorly our forests were managed and decided to do something about it! I hope to bring awareness to the importance of managing forests properly and in a sustainable way that benefits both humanity and nature.
