Bio: Hi! My name is Burla, and I am a third-year student going into my second semester of nursing school. I was born in Vancouver, Canada, but grew up mostly in the Bay Area. Even though I grew up in bigger cities, coming to Chico for school has made me grow to love the charm of living in a small town! Some things I like to do in my free time are go hiking, travel, play lacrosse, and spend time with my family and friends. This will be my first semester as a mentor for the SI program, and before this, I was a SI Leader for two semesters. As a mentor, I am looking forward to helping other leaders create a safe and engaging space for students, and I am super excited for this semester and looking forward to working with everyone :)
