Shelby Saut

SI Leader - ANTH 111
Pronoun: she/her/hers
Major: Anthropology
Year in School: 3rd Year

Bio: Hello! I’m Shelby Saut, a 3rd year graduate student in the anthropology department here at Chico State.  My graduate research focuses on bone and DNA degradation, but I am widely interested in DNA applications within forensic anthropology.  I hail from southwestern Pennsylvania, but I graduated from the University of Tennessee as an undergrad.  This semester, I have transitioned from a TA position into an SI position for Anth 111, and I’m very excited to continue assisting students in learning about biological anthropology.  I recently adopted a kitten named Maeve, and I am an avid reader.  I hope I’ll see you in SI sessions this semester!
