California State University, Chico’s College of HFA presents the HFA Soirée. This mixer takes place Monday, Sept. 23 from 3:00–5:00 p.m. in the PAC Courtyard. The event is free and open to all Chico State Students.

“I want to unify our college and bring people from diverse majors together,” said Alex Smith, event coordinator and College of Humanities and Fine Arts senator.

The soirée is a mixer where College of Humanities and Fine Arts student and staff can network and learn more about the college. There will be hors d’oeuvres, refreshments and a jazz trio at the event. Business casual attire is recommended but not required.

The College of HFA consists of seven departments: the Department of Art and Art History; the Department of Comparative Religion and Humanities; the Department of English; the Department of History; the Department of International Languages, Literatures, and Cultures; the Department of Music and Theatre; and the Department of Philosophy. There will be at least one representative from each department in attendance at the soirée.

“There’s free food and a jazz trio and it’s a super fun event where you can meet the people who teach you outside of the classroom and can see who is working behind-the-scenes at the college,” said Smith.
