A Whole New Story

Chico State Theatre is excited to produce the world premiere of A Whole New Story: The Music of Samsel and Anderson. Performed entirely by Chico State students, A Whole New Story features the music of one of the most exciting new musical theatre composing teams, Elyssa Samsel and Kate Anderson. Their work has been featured on the television show Central Park and in the Disney short Olaf’s Frozen Adventure. Samsel’s and Anderson’s musical Between the Lines was set to open off Broadway prior to the COVID-19 shutdown and they are currently adapting the bestselling novel The Book Thief into a Broadway musical. A Whole New Story will be filmed on the Chico State campus, written/directed by Matthew Teague Miller, music directed by Josh Hegg and choreographed by Megan Glynn Zollinger.
