Anne-Marie Snider
Dr. Anne-Marie Snider(opens in new window), a specialist in medical sociology with a focus on mental illness, recovery, and digital care, joined the Sociology department as Assistant Professor in 2023. Previously a lecturer in our online program, Dr. Snider has been collaborating on several projects exploring care in digital settings. These projects have yielded some incredible real-world applications at Chico State, including the Mental Health Resource Guide (PDF), a comprehensive list of all Chico State’s mental health and wellness programs created by recent Sociology grad, Hannah Burgard ‘24.

Sociology Commencement stoles are available for purchase. Stoles are optional and not required to participate in Commencement.
Stoles are $20 each, tax included.
You will receive an email notification when they have arrived and are ready for pick-up.
If you are a Distance Education student who will be participating in Commencement but will not arrive in Chico until after 5pm the night before commencement, please contact sociologystudent@csuchico.edu to make arrangements.
