Biography

Allison Ward has served in the K-8 small school environment for most of her career as a regular, Spanish, and music educator. For her master's project, Allison investigated the connection that choral preparatory exercises may have in helping cultivate a positive mindset for children in the regular classroom. She is also investigating the area of school leadership as it relates to music program development in the elementary school setting. As a supervisor and faculty lecturer, Allison encourages all teacher candidates to ensure equity through arts integration, assessing and promoting emergent bilingualism, and developing lesson plans that are rooted in universal design for learning.
