Teaching and Research Interests

Lori Stevens taught both language arts and visual art at Orland High before returning to the university to work as a teaching supervisor. Her masters’ project focused on postmodernism in the visual arts, exploring diversity and power struggles in our social structures, and how participation on the visual arts can be an agent of change. Today, as well as being passionate about student engagement, she is an advocate of promoting and growing the same critical thinking, social justice, and equity in the classroom. She is also an avid art maker.
