Senior Class Gift

Wildcat Spirit Cord

The gold Wildcat Spirit Cord is worn by our most generous graduating ’Cats at commencement. The gold symbolizes entering a new chapter and joining other graduates of the last decade, who have demonstrated their dedication to philanthropy and support for our University.

With a senior class gift of their class year, $20.24 or more through the Student Philanthropy Council, you’ll earn a Wildcat Spirit Cord to wear at graduation, a symbol of your pride, gratitude, and support for a place that’s made a difference in your life.

Why should I make a gift?

Graduating seniors who make a gift of your class year or more earn a Gold Wildcat Spirit Cord to wear at Commencement and will be invited to the Senior Gift Reception. Giving to Chico State is a great way to show your pride, gratitude, and support for a place that’s made a difference in your life.

If I give to the Senior Class Gift Campaign where does that money go?

Gifts made directly to the Senior Class Gift campaign will be deposited to the Chico State Fund. All donations will then be gifted to the Chico Cares Campaign which funds basic needs to help end food and housing insecurity on campus.

How do I get my Gold Wildcat Spirit Cord?

You will be able to pick up your Wildcat Spirit Cord May 3 & 4 from 10-2 along the Gauntlet by the Natural Sciences Building.

Where do I make a gift?

You can make a gift of $20.24 through the Senior Class Giving Page.

What's the deadline?

All gifts must be made by April 30th.
