Wildcat Spirit Cord

The gold Wildcat Spirit Cord is worn by our most generous graduating ’Cats at commencement. The gold symbolizes entering a new chapter and joining other graduates of the last decade, who have demonstrated their dedication to philanthropy and support for our University.

With a senior class gift of their class year, $20.24 or more through the Student Philanthropy Council, you’ll earn a Wildcat Spirit Cord to wear at graduation, a symbol of your pride, gratitude, and support for a place that’s made a difference in your life.

Why should I make a gift?

Graduating seniors who make a gift of your class year or more earn a Gold Wildcat Spirit Cord to wear at Commencement and will be invited to the Senior Gift Reception. Giving to Chico State is a great way to show your pride, gratitude, and support for a place that’s made a difference in your life.

Where do I make a gift?

You can make a gift of $20.24 through the Senior Class Giving Page to have it go to the Basic Needs, or the Regular Giving Form to select any campus club or program. 

Can I make my Senior Class Gift to other campus clubs or programs? 

Yes! Simply use the regular giving form and select any designation you'd like or select other and write in the club or department you want your gift to support.
