Liz started in the STAR Center Summer 2022, but is not new to working on campus and with students. She is a First-Gen, who graduated from Chico State with a Bachelors of Arts in Science Education in 2019. During her time at Chico State, she realized her passion of helping students find learning as a means to improve their life. Education is an act of rebellion, social justice and advocacy. She wants to engage with the diverse population of Chico State students, using her experiences coming from an urban area to a rural area, she recognizes how daunting it is to focus on academics, while also trying find your people. Liz loves thrifting, reading, hiking and going on adventures with her partner and son. With joining the STAR Center she hopes to help students find their footing and success at Chico State and beyond, whether that be further higher education or professional life.
