Carolyn is from Livermore, California. She attended community college and transferred to Saint Mary’s College of California where she completed her BS in Biological Sciences. She worked as an insect trapper for the Alameda County Department of Agriculture before moving to Chico for a Farm Internship. She then spent nearly a year working for Massa Organics caring for livestock, learning sustainable farming practices, and of course how to drive a tractor. She joined Chico State as the Agricultural Coordinator for CSC² in February 2017. Growing up Carolyn raised chickens and sheep in 4-H, volunteered for Guide Dogs for the Blind, and spent a summer as a zookeeper apprentice at the Oakland Zoo. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, yoga, and running in Bidwell Park.
