Pablo Suarez

Engineering Coordinator

Pablo provides individualized intensive guidance and motivational support to engineering, computer science and construction management (ECC) students. He helps incoming students with orientation, academic advising, and tutorial coordination. He also provides personal academic counseling, assistance with career counseling, and professional development. He also helps ECC students enroll in research and summer internship experiences.

Pablo Suarez is from Fillmore, California. Since he can remember he has always liked to tinker with mechanical devices, from Hot Wheels to RC cars when he was a kid to working on his 1967 Ford Mustang. He graduated from California State University, Chico in  2007  with a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering. As a student, Pablo was part of the MESA Engineering Program (MEP) and obtained internships at Ford Motor Company and Vortech Superchargers LLC. He also served in leadership roles as the Vice President and the President of Latinos in Technical Careers (LTC), a student chapter of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE). He has eight years of engineering field experience where he has done structural calculations, design, modeling, and manufacturing. He joined Chico State as the Engineering Coordinator for CSC² in November 2016. He enjoys working with students, challenging them to realize their potential. In his free time, he likes to swim, run, and mountain bike in Bidwell Park.
