Parting Progress Report on Chico State’s Strategic Priorities

Hello Wildcats!

Today I write my final message to highlight progress on the 2019–24 Strategic Plan. What a long way we have come together! First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to all of you who helped to refine our vision and mission when we began this reimagining back in 2018. Secondly, I want to recognize the progress we have made and extend my appreciation to each of you for the role you have played in advancing so many of our goals.

Over the years, we have remained energized and focused on our priorities and enduring commitments. Together, we have achieved many of the goals we set for ourselves and made tremendous progress on our path to prominence. What makes this transformation even more phenomenal is our progress in the face of extraordinary challenges and how we kept our focus on our north stars.

Looking ahead, I am confident in the leadership of incoming president Steve Perez, who I know will take Chico State to even greater heights. I can’t wait to see where you go next!

It has been my great privilege to serve this University. Thank you again for all you have done and will continue to do for this exceptional institution and our remarkable students.

Warm regards,

Gayle Hutchinson

President
