International Education Week 2021

International Education Week (IEW) is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide, and opportunities for internationalization within our campus community. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education is to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences.

Monday, November 15th

Open Doors 2021 Annual Data Release 6:30 – 7:30AM

The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and IIE will release new findings from the Open Doors® Report on International Educational Exchange. The event will be held virtually.

IEW Kick-off: Koffee and Kudos 10 – 11:30AM

Tuesday, November 16th

Global Café 12 – 1PM

International Wildcats and native speakers meet once per week with one shared goal – to meet new friends and enjoy some good conversation in English, while having fun.

Explore your study abroad and away options, and learn about next steps! We have programs in 40+ countries around the world and across the U.S. Students have the possibility to complete coursework in their major, minor, and/or general education pathway, all while utilizing their financial aid and/or scholarships to finance their experience.

Chico State Faculty: Fulbright Scholar Program Q&A 11AM – 12PM

Join this Fulbright interactive session to learn more about things you can do now to prepare for a successful Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program application for 2023-2024.  Fulbright program staff will discuss award opportunities, the application & selection process, and answer all your questions!
