Application for Incoming Exchange Students

To apply for a semester or year exchange at Chico State, you must read and complete the requirements below.

2. How to Create Online Log-In (PDF) - Step-by-step instructions explaining how to create a log-in for your online document submission portal.
3. Exchange Application (PDF) - Here you will find instructions, deadlines, the international student application and financial support requirements* for Chico State.
4. Course Request (Microsoft Form)(opens in new window) - Required at time of application for priority course registration.

* Financial Support Requirements - The Financial Support Form (PDF) must be submitted by all students. Proof of ability to meet one semester's or year's expenses (as listed in the Fact Sheet, above) is required. Proof can be submitted in the following ways:

• Whomever is providing your financial support should be sure to complete Section B of the Financial Support Form.
• The sponsor should attach an original bank statement, certified copy of original bank statement, or a letter from a bank official verifying the amount available in the account being used for funding.  Bank documentation must have been issued within six months of submission.
• Sponsored students must submit financial guarantee documentation for the terms of exchange to satisfy this requirement. 

Completed PDF forms and scanned supporting documents may be emailed to exchange@csuchico.edu to expedite the application process. However, an original hardcopy transcript of academic record must be submitted to the Study Abroad & Exchange Office before the start of the academic term.
