FERPA/Student Privacy
The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)(opens in new window) is a federal law designed to protect the privacy of a student's educational records. The Study Abroad & Exchange Office at CSU, Chico communicates directly with students to ensure they have information and support throughout the study abroad process. We adhere to the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Confidential student records outlined by FERPA include financial aid, scholarship and billing and account information. These records and related information cannot be released to anybody other than the student without written consent and authorization from the student. We encourage families to connect with their students to discuss your questions and concerns.
CSU Faculty/Staff Fee Waiver
Please note: The dependent fee waiver can only be used for direct exchanges, CSU IP, or the NSE plan B program. Please contact studyabroad@csuchico.edu if you are unclear as to the program types. AIFS, USAC and Global Experiences are not eligible for the fee waiver.
