Study Abroad & Exchange

University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC)

USAC is a non-profit consortium of US universities (including CSU, Chico) that collaborate to offer affordable, high-quality, academic study abroad programs. Together, these universities work to provide students with the opportunity to immerse in the culture, history, and academics of another country. Each program is designed to help you grow into an engaged citizen of the world—not only through academic experiences, but also through field trips, internships, volunteering, and service learning.

Students can choose from programs in over 50 cities and 27 countries, and can enroll for a winter intersession, summer, semester, or whole academic year. Chico students who go abroad on USAC will receive CSU resident credit at Chico for all coursework taken abroad.  Students can use federal financial aid and student loans on USAC programs; California aid and Work Study do not apply.
