Patrick Borel started as the Director of Field Education in 2018. Prior to joining the School of Social Work full time he worked for 23 years with community mental health and 2 years in a nonprofit residential youth program. He was part of the adjunct faculty with the School of Social Work for 11 years, teaching in both the BSW and MSW programs. For the BSW program Patrick has taught Social Welfare Institutions, Human Behavior Across the Lifespan, Wellness and Recovery, Practice, and Social Work Methods courses. For the MSW program Patrick has taught Human Behavior and the Social Environment, Generalist Theory and Practice I and II, Advanced Practice in Mental Health Services, Advanced Practice in Families, Children and Youth Services, Advanced Practicum I and II, Supervision and Administration, Wellness and Recovery, and Advanced Family and Child Treatment.
