Annual Practicum Fair

The Practicum Fair is intended for BSW & MSW students who will begin their practicum placement Fall 2024. The Practicum Fair provides an opportunity for students to meet with representatives from local social service agencies that will be offering internships for the 2024-25 academic year. Students will have an opportunity to interact with the agencies on an informal basis and acquire information about what a potential placement at that agency might involve.

A list of agencies attending the Practicum Fair will be sent out prior to the event. To get the most out of the Fair students are encouraged to research the agencies before attending the event. Come prepared with specific questions that you would like to ask agencies.

What should I wear? Business attire is suggested
Do I need to bring my resume? You do not need to bring your resume to the Practicum Fair
How long do I need to be there? Plan to talk with a minimum of 15 agencies and stay for at least one hour. Remember, the more effort you put into the practicum placement process, the better the outcome!

Agencies that are interested in participating in the Practicum Fair should contact Nicole Davis nmdavis@csuchico.edu so that a space can be reserved for you. Space is limited so please make sure to RSVP prior to the event.

Each agency will be assigned to a zoom breakout room where you will meet with interested students.

Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the event to allow yourself plenty of time to check in and get to your breakout room.
