Discover recommended and required training for new employees, and when access begins.
If you are a new state employee--faculty, staff, manager, or student employee--you will need to complete required training as soon as you have a Chico State portal login and password. The required training is due upon employment and must be complete no later than 30 days after your first day of work. Work with your supervisor to schedule time and a location to complete the online training. Read emails from dts@csuchico.edu.

View a list of required training courses for all new CSU, Chico (state) employees. Most are online, allowing you to complete them right at your desk.
Tips:
FACULTY: The Faculty Drop-In Lab in MLIB 457 is also available as a place to complete your compliance training online, Mon-Fri, 9AM-5PM. Please bring earbuds or headphones for quiet listening.
View a list of recommended workshops for new staff. This collection of workshops provides an overview of campus processes and operations that are essential for new (and existing) support staff.
To enroll in a workshop on campus: Login to the Development & Training System (DTS). Click the Schedule tab. Click on the course title to register and you will receive a confirmation email prior to the event. As you enroll, you can even add the session to your calendar.

The campus and CSU offers an assortment of online learning opportunities through the DTS course catalog, lynda, and SkillSoft.
The Development and Training System (DTS) will send you confirmation of workshops in which you've enrolled, as well as reminders of compliance training that is expiring and needs to be retaken. Sometimes these reminders may go to Junk Mail or Clutter. Please setup your email to accept these reminders.
In compliance with EM 16-004, the Account Center automatically creates employee email (Exchange) accounts for all student employees. This “Exchange” email account receives official employee information, including notices to complete required compliance training.
Student employees may elect to redirect (i.e., auto-forward) these messages to their student WildcatMail account.
