We invite student payroll attendance clerks (and their alternates) to attend this important training session on Federal Work Study eligibility, and tracking. This is a great workshop if you are new in your position as an attendance clerk or in need of a refresher course.  Staff members within the Financial Aid Office will explain the cross-over of academic and fiscal years, how to track remaining work study availability for (your) students, use of the new Federal Work Study Employee Listing Report, the summer work study process and other useful information and tips to help you successfully monitor work-study awards and earnings.

  • Gain access to appropriate PeopleSoft screens
  • Learn the role of the financial aid office within the work-study cycle
  • Understand the various options some students may have to increase work-study eligibility
  • Discuss common concerns and how federal rules affect awards, sometimes months later
  • Review the summer cross-over period, summer work-study application, and communications
  • View an Insight report designed to display work study availability
  • Question and answer period, so bring your questions!
