Rachel Skokowski, Director of Galleries and Turner Curator

Rachel Skokowski

Dr. Rachel Skokowski joined the Turner in 2022. She has worked with museum print collections in the US and abroad, including at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art, the University of Sydney, and the Ashmolean Museum. She received her PhD from the University of Oxford, where she studied as a Rhodes Scholar, and holds a Masters from Oxford and a BA from Princeton University. Her research focuses on 19th century French print culture and her first book, The Goncourt Brothers and the Language of Etching: Prints, Process, Prose, is forthcoming with Oxford University Press.

Brandon Hernandez, Collections Assistant

Brandon Hernandez

Born and raised in Hanford California, Brandon Hernandez began his printmaking journey in 2017 at College of the Sequoias, Visalia. He then graduated with his Bachelors of Fine Arts in Printmaking from California State University, Chico in 2023. Informed by his personal experience as a child of Mexican immigrants, his woodcuts display visual narratives of the journey of diaspora. At Chico State, Brandon was the recipient of the 26th Juried Student Print Exhibition Purchase Award, Janet Turner Scholarship Award and Provost S.A.R.C grant.

Kathleen Breeze, Outreach Assistant

Kathleen Breeze earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in printmaking from California State University, Chico in 2024. She received the Janet Turner Scholarship Award in 2023, and her work was selected for the Ink & Clay Exhibitions in 2023 and 2024. Before joining the staff at the Janet Turner Print Museum, she interned in the archive, gaining valuable museum experience. She enjoys researching prints, working with visiting artists, and sharing her knowledge of printmaking with the community.

Katie Bradley, Curatorial Research Assistant

Katie Bradley

Katie Bradley joined the Turner Print Museum team in 2023 as an intern and has since earned her Master’s in Art History from Chico State.  She is now a Lecturer in Art History at Chico State and incorporates her museum experience and knowledge to enhance her lessons. She utilizes the Turner Print Museum as a valuable learning tool for her students, providing them with the opportunity to study original art to enhancing their academic experience. Katie most enjoys conducting research for the museum and providing educational tours for visitors.
