Kids at The Turner

Kids at The Turner is a free after-school workshop designed to encourage K-12 students to explore creative ideas and themes through contemporary and traditional art. Each session includes a museum tour and hands-on art project designed and led by Chico State college interns, under the mentorship of Art Education professor Dr. Sangmin Lee.
Each year, the program responds directly to the current exhibitions on view at the Turner and is designed with a unique theme, such as "community" or "identity." Participants will explore various art mediums and techniques, including ceramics, printmaking, painting, drawing, and digital media.
Kids at the Turner aims to inspire creativity, enhance artistic skills, and foster a sense of community among young participants. This program supports the Turner's educational mission by providing an inclusive, hands-on learning experience that encourages self-expression and critical thinking.
It's fun, it's free, it's for you!
