Coffee Tasting at The Turner

Saturday, May 10, 11-1 PM

Celebrate the final day of the Turner’s student exhibition, Ink & Clay, with a free coffee tasting from Stoble Coffee Roasters, donuts, and live music. Chico State Ceramics Art Student Association will be there with unique handcrafted mugs for sale - take home a special piece of artwork and support student artists!

Curator Talk & Opening Reception

Join us for a talk by Turner Curator Dr. Rachel Skokowski and an opening reception celebrating the exhibition In Focus: Asian American Artists at the Turner. 

The talk will be held in the Performing Arts Center, Room 134, from 5:30-6:30 PM, followed by a reception at the Turner from 6:30-7:30 PM. Both events are free and open to the public.

Yoga in the Gallery

Start your Saturday with a free beginner’s yoga class, surrounded by beautiful, calming artwork! 

Choose from one of two thirty-minute sessions: 10-10:30 AM or 10:30-11 AM. Students can RSVP in advance on CatsConnect, but members of the public and walk-ins are welcome!

Come as you are—we’ll provide everything you need, including mats.

Night at the Museum - Archive Tour 

Wednesday, February 12, 5-6 PM

Enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of the Turner archive and a selection of prints, exploring love in all its forms: friendship, romance, and heartbreak. 

Whether you’re looking for an activity with your Galentines or your Valentine, or you're just interested in seeing the inner workings of an art museum, this tour has something for everyone! 

Butte County Museum Weekend

Stop by the Turner for free family-friendly printmaking activities as part of Butte County Museum Weekend and get a stamp in your Museum Passport!

Kathy Aoki - Performance & Artist Talk

Celebrate the closing weeks of In Focus: Asian American Artists at The Turner with a special visit from artist Kathy Aoki. Enjoy a humorous, thought-provoking performance and artist talk in the Turner gallery from 5:30-6:30 PM, followed by a reception.

Night at the Museum - Art History Trivia

Test your art history knowledge with a Turner trivia night, co-hosted with the Chico State Art History Collective! Pizza and drinks will be provided.

We recommend registering your team in advance using our Google form, but walk-ins are welcome!
