This Way to Sustainability Conference

Volunteer

Sustainability Leaderships Internship

The This Way To Sustainability Conference would not be possible without the time and energy commitment made by the many conference volunteers.  Volunteering is an easy way to contribute to the success of the conference, learn valuable leadership skills, and network with the many participants and speakers who make the conference what it is.

For the 2021 conference, volunteers will be enrolled in the Green Campus Sustainability Leadership Internship that will teach the many facets of sustainability leadership needed to be successful post-graduation.

The Green Campus Program works under the direction and advisement of the Campus Sustainability Manager, Cheri Chastain, and in collaboration with all campus partners to further our sustainability goals and commitments.  Green Campus sustainability leaders are key catalysts in building a campus community and culture around sustainability.

The Green Campus Sustainability Leadership Internship will help students from all disciplines develop the skills and tools they need to be effective agents of change and have a successful career in sustainability.  Students will learn how to communicate verbally and in written formats with diverse groups of stakeholders, how to solve problems and think critically, and how to build a network for success.  Students will have an opportunity to put their skills to work in real time over the semester as moderators of the This Way To Sustainability Conference.
