The UComm department is structured in four functional areas: communications, design and photography, marketing and digital engagement, and public relations. We are highly collaborative across functions and most projects involve members from multiple teams.

Executive Director of UComm
Ashley serves concurrently as executive director of University Communications and interim chief of staff to the president at Chico State. A proud alumna, she leads strategic communications and campuswide messaging, strengthens relationships with key stakeholders, and supports high-level initiatives across University Advancement and the Office of the President. Since joining the team in 2015, she has guided major identity efforts, led crisis communications, and earned national recognition for her storytelling. Ashley holds a bachelor’s in journalism and a master’s in interdisciplinary studies focused on trauma-informed crisis response.
