Kate Post

Director of Digital Engagement & Marketing

Kate manages UComm’s digital and social media team, strategic communications, web and social strategy, email campaigns, and crowdfunding, as well as responsibilities guiding marketing efforts for campus. She also co-leads the marketing and communications action team charged with growing the University’s enrollment over the next two years. Kate has served on the University Diversity Council’s executive team since 2016.

Kate began her career in University Advancement in 2010. Over the years she has created and filled five new roles within UComm and has been a digital revolutionary for Chico State. Some of her many accomplishments include launching and developing Chico State’s social media presence, leading multichannel crisis communications, overhauling the University’s web strategy and crafting a campuswide Web Governance Policy, and creating Chico State Giving Day and leading successful crowdfunding efforts that have raised more than $2M in 5 years.

She earned her BA from University of California, Berkeley and an MA from San Francisco State University, both in Japanese.
