Kate Post

Director of Strategic Marketing

Kate leads comprehensive University marketing strategy encompassing paid, organic, and earned channels (social, web, digital, traditional) to elevate Chico State's brand, boost enrollment, and advance institutional goals. She spearheads multi-million dollar brand and recruitment campaigns, manages key vendor partnerships, and ensures consistent brand narrative across all platforms. Kate also manages the digital engagement team, oversees digital marketing, email campaigns, and web strategy, and develops comprehensive communication plans for strategic university initiatives. She has served on the University Diversity Council’s executive team since 2016.

Kate began her career in University Advancement in 2010. Over the years she has created and filled five new roles within UComm and has been a digital revolutionary for Chico State. Some of her many accomplishments include launching and developing Chico State’s social media presence, leading multichannel crisis communications, overhauling the University’s web strategy and crafting a campuswide Web Governance Policy, and creating Chico State Giving Day, which has grown to a million dollar fundraising day.

She earned her BA from University of California, Berkeley and an MA from San Francisco State University, both in Japanese.
