Program Coordinator

Psychologist in CSU Chico Counseling and Wellness Center
Psy.D., Clinical Psychology, Pepperdine University (2014)

I have worked in a variety of areas within the mental health field, including both inpatient and outpatient community mental health, and adolescent leadership programs. However, I have found most satisfaction in working in university counseling, and have had the pleasure of working with counseling centers at Santa Monica College, New Mexico State University, and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. I have particular interest and passion in working with queer students, students of color, and first generation students. In addition to my individual work, I also enjoy group work and facilitating outreach. A few of my clinical interests include gender and sexual identity, cultural and ethnic diversity, interpersonal relationships, and mood disorders. I have been a staff psychologist with the CSUC Counseling and Wellness Center since 2015, where I do individual, couples, and group therapy, as well as outreach. This year I have taken on the role of developing and heading up the training portion of the UMatter internship. This includes weekly meetings and discussions on various areas of Mental Health, with the purpose of promoting and developing a working knowledge of these topics.

What one item would you want with you in a Zombie Apocalypse?

This is a tough one. I would have to say some kind of ax or machete. I figure this could be used for several things... killing zombies, chopping pieces of wood for a fire, cutting soft leaves for toilet 'paper,' playing games of tic-tac-toe in the sand, etc.
