Miranda Spence

Hello!

My name is Miranda Spence and I am currently a 4th year honors social work major and music minor here at California State University, Chico. I hold associates degrees in both psychology and social and behavioral studies and have future goals to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to provide therapy to children and families in the foster care system. I am a part of the LGBTQIA+ community and in my free time enjoy hanging out with my 7 cats, 4 dogs, 3 snakes, and my amazing wife. I am very passionate about alternative therapeutics such as music therapy, art therapy, animal therapy, and wilderness therapy to name a few. I know how beneficial formal therapy can be, but I also know that there are alternative therapeutic techniques which can ease the body, mind, and soul to help create healthy coping mechanisms in life.

My goal in meeting with you would be to help you to explore, find, plan, execute, and reflect on the dreams or goals you may have and navigate life as a college student, whatever that may mean for you. I am also here just to be an unbiased person in your life for you to vent to as you transition throughout your time in college. Everyone needs a listening ear and helping hand, and I hope I can be that for you.

Please come join us for groups or schedule a one-on-one appointment if you need anything!
