“Nothing short of revolutionary.” - Afro Pop Worldwide
As the longest and most storied river in the world, the Nile sustains many people from different lands and languages. In this unique collaboration, more than a dozen musicians from Nile basin countries (including Sudan, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, and Uganda) come together to raise awareness of this most precious resource. The Nile Project’s album Aswan was one of NPR’s 2015 “Must Hear International Albums” of the year and adds still greater voice to this unique cultural and environmental calling.Artist Website Video Photos
In addition to the Sunday evening performance, we invite you to join us for an informative and creative Water Resource Conference on Monday, February 20 on the Chico State campus. Several water agencies from the North State along with The Nile Project artists will come together to discuss civic engagement and water management issues.
This conference is free and open to the public. We do not require reservations for attending but do require reservations for your purchased lunch and the bus trip visit to Hamilton City. Come to as much of the conference as you are able. More information at the link below.Register for Water Resource Conference the here
